Fisantekraal Initiative
Social Responsibility
The most satisfying experience in one's life is making a difference in another person's life. Some of us achieve this once, others often, but only a percentage fulltime.
Chris Brothers
Managing Director
Brothers Sport

It was a wish for Chris and his staff to achieve this and in 2007 it became a reality. Brothers Sport first began involved within the community of Fisantekraal in 2007 by bringing overseas visitors to the township to obtain first hand experience of what life is like for these people. The first group to visit were the Warwickshire Bears Cricket Club from the UK.
Tours include visiting the Trevor Manuel Primary School, various creches, the old aged home and the informal settlement. A traditional lunch and a sports fixture with the children from the school is also arranged.
All funds raised from the visiting groups are put into a trust, and divided equally amongst the various projects.
Brothers Sport have several ongoing projects in the community
- Development of sport and supplying playing kit to the school, as well as upkeep of netball courts.
- Assistance with essential equipment required by the various crèches, such as clothes, toys, etc.
- Assistance for the old aged home, as well as funding day outings for the elderly.
- Donations to the Animal Welfare Society
- Fisant Super kids day care facility. Through the generous donation of Mr Miles Saward from Sport Options in the UK, Joan Reid was able to convert 3 containers into a very successful day are facility, now running with approximately 30 children.
